And of course I have no pictures. Except I did get this one really cute one!

Another Trip to Mee-Maw's

We're nothing if not consistent.

School Time

I know I've raved about Mabel's school many times. It's finally time for her to move on to the big kid school in the fall, but we are really going to miss this magical place Mabel has been going for the past 3 years.

The Zoo

The zoo is abolutely one of Mabel's  favorite places to go, so I thought it was time to devote a post to it.

Party Time!

This spring has been filled with party after party after party. It's been a little exhausting for mommy and daddy, but very fun!

Mabelisms (4 years old)

"You're going to Grandmommy's house next week"
"I know, you told me like 3 times and that's just too much!"

Brocomole

Mommy: "You are so silly, what am I going to do with you?"
Mabel: "Nothing"
"Take care of me"
"Play with me"

"Those shoes are disgusting. I mean they don't look good so they are disgusting."

"I'm sure"

We had lunch at Station (Mabel's interpretation of "Subway" sandwiches).

But I'm not a baby. I don't cry anymore.  I only whine.

Mabel: (singing) If you're happy and you know it clap your hands...
Dead silence. Mabel looks at me.
Me: Well, I'm not happy right now. I'm irritated.
Mabel: (singing) If you're irritated and you know it clap your hands.

Mabel: (while I'm opening a piece of junk mail): What's that?
Mommy: It's junk.
Mabel: Oh great, I love junk!

Mommy, you have 2 jobs. One is to help people and the other is to make money.

ok, another gesture, but Mabel has started wagging her finger whenever she says no. Too cute!

"just what I wanted!" At Christmas, this was her response to everything you got. It's amazing how easy to please she is.

"oh sure" this is one of her new responses to anything she likes (note, it's not sarcastic, but very enthusiastic, when she really wants to do something - example: Mabel would you like to go to Taeva's house? Oh, sure! )

I have to inside out this shirt

Yes - e - daisy

About the new digital TV system that has not been working very well: "It has a hard life."

Mabel's excuse for not eating her kale at dinner: I'm sorry but then I will be chewing it until bedtime and for days and days and until my birthday and then I'll still be chewing.

Kisses don't work any days! (At 4 1/2 she has figured out that kisses do not in fact make boo-boos better, and any days is one of her emphatic statements = at all)

Mommy: Why do you listen to your teachers more than to mommy?
Mabel: Because mommy's make the rules that teachers make but teachers get their rules from G-d.

Thumbs up - okay, this is a gesture but to me it's so cute how Mabel always makes a thumbs up if she likes something.

Lovely, everything is lovely lately

We miss you Mee-Maw and we wish you were down here with us in the middle.
Where's the middle?
Here - Earth

Frances let's go get some of Mee Maw's jewelry because she died and now we can take her stuff.
... and we don't even ask to ask.

My voice is so small (after losing her voice from a cold).

I will never quit having a mommy and daddy (I think  this was her practicing the new word "quit")

Plenty - it's the phrase of the month, e.g. "yes, I'd like plenty of macaroni"

Extracize - yet another mispronunciation that I can't bear to correct because it's so cute.

I think I"m going to have a sad day tomorrow.
Why?
Because I want to.

Did you get that when you were Noah's age (looking at my driver's license shortly after going on a trip with her big brother to get his learner's permit.

I wasn't talking to you Mommy, I was talking to my friend!

That puppy is so cute. I have to put it on Facebook!

It's an uppercase spoon (as in soup spoon, not teaspoon)

Mommy: Daddy's arm is broken.
Mabel: Is his hand off?

Daddy doesn't know how to clear his plate yet - he's not big enough so we have to teach him

My hand did it all by itself, my body did it to me, etc.

Why did that blanket sneeze you?

Fine then!

Nuh-uh

Mommy: How did you know that?
Mabel: Because I'm 4!

Mabel: No, don't help me. I can do it myself. You can't carry me because I'm 4.

Disgusting, delicious. Those are Mabel's 2 favorite words to describe pretty much anything.

In an effort to break Mabel of her rather embarrassing habit of playing with my armpits, I tried to encourage her to play with her own. Her response:
"But mine aren't gooey like yours"
and later:
"but mine aren't wrinkly like yours.

The Girls on Pearl

There is a dangerous gang of four on the loose. Look out for the girls on Pearl!
